Kabu no Isaki - Chapter 47

Wow, we made it to 31 days of back to back releases.

Alas, all good things must come to an end, and Kabu no Isaki is no exception. Have you enjoyed the ride so far?

Things delve into straight up David Lynch territory in Kabu no Isaki's penultimate chapter. Was it all a dream? A fantasy world? Only Shiro-san knows for sure...

  1. Great thanks!!!!! Can't wait for the last one. It seems like it was yesterday when you guys took over it, and to think I thought I would never see the end of this series.

    1. The ending did seem a little rushed. I'm guessing Afternoon told him to wrap up the series.

  4. Holy shizzles, just one more chapter to go!

Haven't read this chapter, but so far I'm really enjoying the strange turn this manga is taking in it's final chapters. The all-over-the-place pacing of this manga in it's entirety works in it's favor here. Starting out as a series of single chapters adventures, then launching into the multi-volume journey to mount Fuji, it's somehow fitting to change the pace again and move to the end so fast.

Still, it would have been great if this manga had lasted for a few volumes more. : ( Thanks for scanlating this Tristan and co!

    1. Also, any idea what Ashinano is doing now? I imagine him chilling while looking out at the sea and pretty clouds, but aside from that, is he working on any manga?

    2. I must say that I'm kinda lost on the whole Mt. Fuji thing. I mean, from where I stand, this was a serious case of WTF. Was Kabu really up there? Who was that woman really? Why wasn't the whole group allowed to go out and have a look? I'm not sure even Asinano-san knows for sure.
