You should really use jpg. I don't like artifacts and all, but using png is just plain ridiculous for full colour in terms of size and everything. Even saving at 90% quality or even more will give you significantly smaller images. Did you also happen to limit the colour palette as well? Because those dots look a bit suspect.

DeleteJust optimize your PNGs most manga do not have muvh more than 100 shades and can often be shrunk down to under 20shades making for files FAR smaller than any jpg could dream of. only use jpg on colour pages if your hell bent on size. These days it shouldn't matter it isnt like this is the old days of IRC and crappy ADSL/modems.
DeleteAlso is there any chance that the old /a/non files can be uploaded somewhere? all I can find are crapped up reader sites full of spam amd dead DDL links.
